Art Tells Stories - Let’s Tell Yours
Many of the pieces you see here and on my instagram were commissioned by clients and collectors - just like you - who wanted to tell their story through art. If you have a story that you want to share, it’s never too early to start the conversation. While I’m not always avaialbe for new commissions, I’m always open to discussing your ideas and exploring the realm of possible.
Creating artwork is a collaborative process. If commissioning art feels unfamiliar, I’ll guide you every step of the way. To help establish a fair and realistic quote, I use what I call the Four S’s:
Size- Size matters - but not awlays in the way you’d think. I can work in a wide range of formats, from small, intimate pieces to bold statement works. Small doesnt always mean less expensive, so feel free to ask about options that suit your space and budget.
Style- My preferred medium is charcoa, but I also work in graphite, ink, digital formats, stippling, micography, oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints. If you have a specirfic aesthetic in mind, let’s talk - I’m open to experimenting if it serves the story. Regretably, I do not provide graphic design for apparel - but am happy to share potential artists who might be looking for graphic design work.
Sample- The quality of your reference photo often determines the strength of the final piece when I am creating derivitive works. I work from reference materails and build them from using artistic interpretation and liscence when needed. If the reference is lacking detail, I can often fill in the gaps to create something striking and emotive.
Schedule- I typically deliver commissions within 4-5 weeks of starting the project. If you’re working with a specific deadline, I’ll do my best to accommodate - but timing is one of the biggest variables, so early conversations help a lot.
What’s next?
Email me - and if possible, include reference material(s) in the highest resolution you have avaialbe. From there, we’ll begin the discussion, I’ll provide you a detailed quote, and once we agree on the scope and a deposit is made, we’ll get started.
At the end of the day, I want you to be proud of the artwork we create together - proud enough to frame it, display it, and pass it down. The first step? A message. I look forward to hearing your story.
