‘Big R’ Print
In 2011 I had the honor to serve with RCT-8 in Afghanistan, when the Marines connected Sangin to Kajaki. I was inspecting ammunition at one of the PB’s with the Battalion’s Ammo Chief – I was clearly an outsider indicated by a clean uniform, fresh haircut, and full packs of cigarettes. I watched as a patrol was coming back into the PB, and a Lance Corporal loaded to the hilt - ammo cans, a SMAW, his pack loaded and heavy, his kit disheveled, and covered in the fine silt we knew as moon dust. He was soaking wet – white salt rings from yesterdays’ patrol served as an indication he had sweat less on this patrol than his last - though that had to be impossible. Marks indicative of pride, like a notch on a bedpost. The weight of the world was on his shoulders, and yet he smiled – in that moment, full of suck – he emphasized the difference between ‘Rifleman’ and ‘rifleman’.
Printed on 9”x 12” 330 GSM Cold Pressed Bright Archival grade paper (that’s art lingo for really nice!). Signed, serialized, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity ready for you to frame*.

**If you are interested in matting and framing your artwork, I’m happy to provide additional quotes**
